Fabric: Sharkskin Supreme SD
Three years ago I purchased the Sharkskin semi-custom boat cover, but one step down from the Supreme. It performed well, fit our boat great, but only lasted three years before it started to rip. This year I purchased the upgraded fabric, thinking it will last longer. Only time will tell, but the fabric actually seems flimsier, not heavier as expected. The part that is really bothering me though is the front third of the cover has NO tie-down loops. Our previous cover had tie-down loops all the way up to the bow. When I questioned iBoats and Westmoreland, they said this is the way it is supposed to be. Why? Westmoreland sent us two fabric strips to sew on ourselves if we wanted (only two, when it should have had at least four more). To me, this is not satisfactory. When this cover wears out (or possibly before if we can't keep it taught over our open bow in the winter) I will be looking elsewhere.
