The cover was nicely made, seems to be good quality material. I just wish it fit my boat better. This was sold as a "custom" cover specific to my brand and model of boat (2006 Alumacraft Yukon 165CS) and is further indicated as such on the packaging. It's a great fit on the port side, but there was no allowance for the side console and its steering wheel that are standard equipment on this boat, nor is there any allowance for the remote control handle that virtually any side-console boat will have when equipped for use. As a consequence, the cover is too tight around the side console, there is no reinforcement at the point of stress around a console corner and the remote handle must be positioned all the way forward to clear the cover. The cover is snugged up around the exterior of the boat with a 1/4" line in the hem and friction-lock piece to hold tension on the line. However, this is a poor arrangement for a remote-controlled outboard, as the line bears against the control cables, so it cannot actually be tightened effectively and the friction lock design is not intended to have one line removed, threaded under the control cables and then re-inserted into the friction lock. I expect this cover will work out well enough with some reinforcement at the console stress points and a different arrangement to hold tension on the 1/4" line, but I didn't expect I'd have to dink with things like this in a "custom" cover.. Next time, I'll save a few bucks and buy a more generic cover.
