Carl and Dianna Lowe founded the company in 1971 in Missouri. Dianna is the daughter of J.B. Appleby who is considered the father of aluminum boating. The Lowes started out building jon boats and canoes and from there has built one of the toughest aluminum boats in the industry. It also expanded to pontoons in the late 1970's.
